took a weekend off

Weirdly enough, I didn’t write any fiction this weekend. So I had a 20 day streak of every day fiction writing. Nothing awful happened. World didn’t come to an end. Just had something come up that made being creative difficult. Now I’m back to normal again. Not worried about lost time or anything.

So naturally the novel “The Ghost, the Vampire, and the Jock” has no progress on it, still around 9,000 words. Not worried about it. It’s still there.

Today (Monday) I fired up a science fiction short story called “Life and Death on the Patio.” This kicks off the short story challenge, assuming I finish it by Saturday night.

I also spent a little time researching standard formatting, and then made a template. All I have to do, when I finish a short story, is copy/paste the text of the manuscript into the template, then it’s ready for Smith to read and to submit to a magazine.

Then I also spent some time today formatting some short story collections for the erotica pen-name. I’ve put these books off for long enough, and I’m excited again to see these things published. On my cork-board, I have a list of three short story collections and ten short stories to be published under the erotica name. Lots of work to be done. No reason to keep putting it off.

And now, I’m heading back to the science fiction story for a little while tonight. Then probably watch a little TV or play a video game.

Night.
